Favreau & RDJ on ANOTHER comic book adaptation!

We all know how well the collaboration between Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr went when they took the relatively quiet Ironman franchise and made one of the best comic book movies ever made. And while they have continued with Ironman 2, there is ANOTHER comic book adaptation that they have both signed on to: Cowboys & Aliens.

I know nothing about this series other than the title and the one sentence premise: What if aliens landed in mid-1800’s Arizona? Um….yeah…what if? I’m all for crossing and mixing genres in film, but the last Western mixup I remember (at least made in the USA) was Will Smith’s Wild Wild West and I’d rather not. But Favreau directing, Downey Jr in the lead role, and a script written by Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci (the latest Star Trek) and Damon Lindelof (LOST), I’ll have to at least give the trailer a look-see when it comes out.
