Grace – Trailer

A few years back I came into a foreign film from the Czech Republic that creeped the hell out of me: Otesánek (Little Otik). A film about a childless couple that are struggling with their inability to have a child, so much so that when the mother finds a piece of wood that looks like a baby, she adopts it as her own.
She clothes it, feeds it and talks to it and eventually, the damned thing starts talking back, sort of. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend you do, if you hate foreign films and subtitles and original ideas…then you can watch this Americanized version which looks like it has “borrowed” a lot from this film but still seems to carry a high enough level of creep-factor that it might just suffice.
